Meditation – A Love Story Realized is a contemplative poem exploring the relationship between love, meditation, surrender, and inner silence. It reflects on how certain moments in life quiet the questioning mind more completely than deliberate effort ever could.
I have a fickle mind
It stops by everything it finds
A blank page or a filled one
Especially a blank one
It asks about every sight
A tree, a butterfly,
The clouds in the sky
The ticking hands of the clock
Every digit every shape
For everything, it has Why?
And perhaps that’s why
I’m call myself a writer
I think too much
Peel out the unreal beneath real
And that’s how I write.
But sometimes things have
Turned upset.
And my mind has gone a little fried
Even sitting silent,
Watching the flame, the breath
I have given all a try.
But then, one day
From nowhere imagined
Came a sight
I remember,
I felt no choice to make
But to follow the light.
For minutes and hours
A day went by
There was no question to ask
No search for a why.
I was the story myself
To live and perhaps love
The pages remained blank
The heart felt it has reached The End
It was peaceful
With nothing to write.
It felt like after years I heard my breath
Felt my heart
The shivering skin,
For long they lied dead.
It was surrender with no resistance
The one that god demands
And perhaps the state of meditation
For which I didn’t even try.
They do say, that state is effortless
It feels like life and just life
Flowing by.
And as I look back
I question, such moments before
I have lived, haven’t I?
Perhaps partly, there were
Questions and doubts then
Unlike this one
Where the time and events
Unfolded, with no effort
Just like destined.
With washed away sorrow
A spiralling life in my spine
With realization, life gleamed
In my liberated eyes.
It was nothing else
That face, that light,
The presence she was
Was my meditation, which
In holy scriptures,
Stand synonymous
To love and life.
So I surrender to that
No questions anymore
Whenever offered
With that, I would live
And happily dye.
Note –
And I can’t figure out
Maybe I shouldn’t
But it’s hard to call it a coincidence
That I can end this poem
Without breaking its rhythm
With only gratitude and love in my heart
And by saying
AUM NAMAH SHIVAAY.
This poem explores the intersection of meditation and love, where surrender becomes effortless and presence becomes the only reality. It is part of The Naked Soul’s ongoing exploration of philosophy, spirituality, and human experience.
