All That’s Left – A Poem by Dhrutikanta Sahoo

All That’s Left is an original poem by Dhrutikanta Sahoo about fleeting happiness, the ache of losing something beautiful, and the uncertain faith that remains. Through a brief moment of shared joy, the poem reflects on love, loss, longing, and the emptiness left behind.

We laughed, we smiled,
We shared.
I felt life in a millionth fold.
It was all the life
Fed into a moment.

It wasn’t just me.
On her face, in her eyes,
I saw my smile radiating.

But then, like always
It was taken away.

I have stayed, prayed,
Demanded, and perhaps begged
For my never-dying faith
In His uncertain ways.

I feel the void,
Waiting to be filled,
And maybe that’s all that’s left.
