The Unknown Guide – A Journey of Inner Guidance

Sometimes in this vast existence
The blinking self within assures me
That we’re not just humans as we know
Who takes birth and dies
Leaving all the lessons —
Of love & wisdom learnt dead.
And wondering through that darkness
Looking for the answers — the truth
I reach a corner where none of me exists
But still something remains.
Perhaps like the existence just after death
Like air within a dead body.
It’s difficult to understand with the mind shut down
But there comes a terrifying emptiness
As if there must be something
As there is space to serve, to float in
Like in a dark corridor
It assures the presence of something
Something Unknown.
And as I come back to my brain
I wonder, that even if such a place exists
How am I supposed to find my way?
How would I live then?
How would I know who I am there?
But then I remember the phase
That I do not remember — my birth.
Unknown to my own existence, I survived
Unknown of the rules of the world
Something taught my eyes
To see the light
To breathe, to play with the gravity
To listen and make meaning out of life.
Perhaps that unknown will guide again
When the strange silence would come
When the rules will change
And perhaps, the same unknown
Will hold my hand, guiding me
From the darkness to light.
